Invicta National Academy, in association with West Sussex County Council, are providing a week of FREE live, online maths and English catch-up classes as well as a daily Taekwondo lesson for ALL West Sussex children this half term.
We are writing to you collectively representing the six secondary schools and GP practices across the Worthing area. Our school has joined the partnership and is part of our local professional team who work together to support all school-aged students, please see the attached letter for further information.

In recent months, it has been brought to our attention that there is an increasing number of individuals riding e-scooters on the public highway, pavements and in public open spaces, often causing a nuisance to other road and pavement users.
World Book Day
We are seeking volunteers to act as readers and scribes for students sitting examinations throughout the year.
Vaping update
We would like parents to look at the attached information relating to online safety and radicalisation and would urge parents to ensure that you know what social media apps your child/children have.
The school will be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 18th February 2022 prior to half term.
A contribution of at least £1 is asked of students, and the money raised will be donated to MindOut.
This month is LGBT+ history month (https://lgbtplushistorymonth.co.uk/), it is also Children’s mental health week this week (https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/). To support both of these events taking place Worthing High have decided to support the charity MindOut. MindOut is a mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people they work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all LGBTQ communities and to make mental health a community concern (https://mindout.org.uk/).

We would like you to donate via wisepay (minimum of £1.00) the days leading up to the 18th February. Donation may also be made to the tutor to collect.

The next FOWHS meeting will be held on Wednesday 9 February 18:00-19:00 in school, please enter via Millennium hall entrance.
To help the Year 10 students get in to the right frame of mind for future assessments and exams, please encourage them to revise little and often at home, and remember to cover a broad range of subjects.
As you will be aware, the Year 11’s will sit their second set of mock examinations during the fortnight, beginning Monday 7 February.
