West Sussex County Council worked with over thirty organisations across the
county to provide activities and food for children eligible for Free School Meals
during the summer holidays. Lots of children enjoyed a range of activities from
fishing to boxing to craft and farming.
We want to hear about the experience of families and are inviting feedback from
parents and carers. We are equally keen to hear from families that didn’t
participate.
Did your child go to a Holiday Club this summer?
School children aged 4 to 16 who receive free school meals could enjoy fun
activities, and have a nutritional meal this summer holidays, free of charge.
West Sussex County Council worked with a range of providers through the
Holiday Activity and Food Programme funded by the Department of Education.
Lots of children joined in and you can share your experiences with the council by
completing a short survey available here.
You can also use the survey if you weren’t able to participate.
The council will use this feedback to evaluate what went well over the summer
and identify what can be improved.
The survey closes on 15th October 2021.
We are currently planning for a future programme, so watch out for more news
about holiday clubs in the coming weeks.
Yours sincerely
PAUL WAGSTAFF
Director for Education & Skills
