Transitioning to secondary school is a key milestone for a young person. We hope the following FAQs will assist you with your preparations prior to joining Worthing High School.
Our Admissions team will contact you immediately after you are advised that you have a place at Worthing High School. We will send out a questionnaire to find out more about your son/daughter to assist with their transition to Worthing High School.
Yes – all parents/carers will be invited to our Intake Evening – usually the 1st Wednesday in July starting at 6pm. You will meet our senior staff and also find out much more information regarding your child's time at Worthing High School.
Yes - all students starting Worthing High School will spend one day with us - usually 1st Wednesday in July. This is called Intake Day. They will come to Worthing High School for the whole day - wearing their current school uniform. They will take part in lessons, assessments and a general induction to the school.
Students with additional needs may visit more often - on specially arranged sessions with their current school and our Inclusion Team.

In addition, we arrange a uniform fitting evening each summer term. All Y6 students joining us that September are invited. The event provides you with the opportunity to try on uniform samples prior to ordering online.
Our intake book will be posted to all new parents/carers around May half-term each year.
