Clubs & Extra Curricular

Worthing High School provides a wide range of opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Every half term the Learning Resource Centre updates the list of clubs on offer to our students.

These include sports, creative, design and social clubs.

CLUB TIMETABLE AND FIXTURES

Please see below for the Autumn term 1 timetable. Most clubs will run 3:10-4:10pm, some clubs run at slightly different times please check the club timetable carefully.  All students are welcome to attend clubs.  Registers will be taken weekly therefore there is no need to sign up to a club prior to it starting.  The fitness suite will be opening up again for Years 9-11, students will be informed how they sign up for this club during their PE lessons.  If students are attending clubs please can we remind you that students must be in their WHS PE kit.

District leagues running this half term for year groups are listed below.  Alongside this students will have the opportunity to compete in a range of County and National competitions.

  • Year 11 Rugby and Netball
  • Year 10 Rugby and Netball
  • Year 9 Girls Basketball/ Year 9 Boys Football
  • Year 8 Girls Basketball/ Year 8 Boys Football
  • Year 7 Different tournaments / Year 7 Boys Football

PE kit

PE kit – please can we remind you that tracksuit trousers must be from SWI in years 7-9 and plain black in years 10 and 11 (if they are not from SWI).  Leggings are not part of the school uniform. Students are not allowed to wear sweatshirts and hoodies as part of their PE kit. They should be wearing the WHS Sports performance training top (or fleece for students in years 10 and 11).
