Changes to Face-Coverings from Thursday 20th Jan 2022
COPY of email sent to all parents/carers on Wednesday 19th January 2022
As you will be aware, the Government announced this afternoon a change to the wearing of face-coverings in schools from tomorrow (Thursday 20th January).
From tomorrow (Thursday 20th January) face-coverings are no longer recommended in classrooms and teaching spaces for staff and students. However, our students will retain the option to continue to wear a face-covering in classrooms if they so choose.
All students and staff are still required to wear face-coverings in school communal areas, unless they are exempt and should ensure they have a face-covering with them at all times.
The Government also announced that from Thursday 27 January 2022, students and staff will no longer be required to wear face-coverings in school communal areas. We will confirm this further change with you next week as we are still awaiting full and clear Government guidance.
Our Year 9 Curriculum Evening next week will remain a virtual event and more details will be sent to parents and carers tomorrow in our normal weekly email.
Kind regards
