Face coverings from Tuesday 30 November 2021
Following the UK Government announcement on Saturday 27 November, new temporary measures have been put in place in all schools across the country. This follows the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the UK.
Please can you ensure that your child has an appropriate face covering, that must be worn when they return to school tomorrow (Tuesday 30 November).
Face coverings should be worn in all communal areas and during lesson transition by staff, visitors and students, unless they are exempt. The wearing of face coverings in lessons, continues to be on a voluntary basis.
In addition, students should continue to wear face coverings on public and dedicated school transport, unless they are exempt. We will continue to keep this dynamic situation under constant review.
We have taken this action to safeguard all of our students and staff and to ensure we are complying with the new DFE guidance.
