Returning to school 8th March Information 25.2.21
Copy of email sent to all parents/carers on Thursday 25 February 2021.
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a restful and safe half term break.
Following on from the Government announcement on our return back to school from the 8 March, I wanted to write to you and inform you what this will now involve and how we can do this practicably and sensibly.
The Government guidance is in the main, similar to what we have been working with previously with 3 specific changes:
· Use of face coverings in classrooms
· Mandatory attendance from 8 March
· Clinically extreme vulnerable staff/students
Please find attached, a letter which outlines our plans for the forthcoming weeks.
Finally, I wanted to say a huge thank you to yourselves as parents and carers, the last year has tested us all. I know that I have definitely used all our core values to the max, but what has kept us all going has been our students and staff. I cannot praise our students enough for how they have engaged with their new ways of learning and with all the online learning that staff have been involved with and not forgetting all of the amazing virtual enrichment opportunities. My staff and I are excited to welcome our students back and I hope this now gives some clarity on how we propose to do so.
Thank you, take care and stay safe.
