Worthing High School

Return to school Information - Sept. 2020 - updated 28.8.20

Following on from my communication yesterday, please find below the detailed plan for students returning to Worthing High School in September.

We have been led by DfE and Public Health England guidance to create these plans and will update them accordingly if things change. I hope you will see that we have enabled all of our students to return full-time to Worthing High School in September in a safe manner. We would welcome your support with the transition of students to school as they adapt to the new ways of working. I look forward to welcoming all of our students back to school in September.

Plus for Autumn Term 20 we are running additional welcome evening for parents

These will take place in the first 2 weeks of the new academic year and will run between 6pm and 7pm on the following dates:

Year 7 – 7th September – Welcome to Worthing High School
Year 11 – 8th September – Getting ready for exams
Year 10 – 9th September – Welcome to Key Stage 4
Year 8 – 14th September  - Welcome to Year 8
Year 9 – 15th September – Welcome to year 9

In order to do this safely, in accordance with Public Health England and Government guidelines, the year group will be split into Communities and have presentations in small groups. Please see below for the programme for the evening. We will clarify entry points and rooms for each tutor group early next academic year.

In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines we ask that only one parent/carer attends. If guidelines change, we will look to extend our invite to more than one family member.
