Worthing High School

Fantastic sporting achievements

Several of our students have achieved some amazing sporting successes this month. Congratulations to them all!

Congratulations to Jude Clayton who ran at the English Schools cross country last weekend for Sussex in the Inter boys (Yr10 and 11).  Out of 42 scoring counties, Sussex came 1st. Jude was in the scoring team.  An outstanding performance well done Jude from everyone at Worthing High school.

Congratulations to Amelie Beadle- Gates who competed in the gymnastics English Championships last week, going against some of the top gymnasts in England. Amelie came 9th overall and 1st on floor, meaning she is now the 2022 English floor champion. Amelie is also preparing to compete in the British Championships in Liverpool at the Echo Arena next week where she will be competing against the top gymnasts in Great Britain. A massive congratulations and good luck from all at Worthing High.

Also, congratulations to Tia Jackson in year 9 and Kitty Sully in year 10 who competed in the National Schools Finals for trampolining in Manchester last weekend. Tia placed in the top 10 and Kitty 12th for their age group. Both girls competed in incredibly tough groups against some of the best schools trampolinists in the country. A big congratulations and well done from all at Worthing High School.
