As I am sure you are aware, there were two stabbing incidents last night in our local area. One took place at 15.55 outside Tesco in South Farm Road and one later at Goring Station. They resulted in two boys being stabbed.

I can confirm that none of the individuals directly involved were Worthing High School students.

However, given the timing of the South Farm Road incident, at the end of the school day, some Worthing High School students may have witnessed the attack. If anyone has any relevant information please do contact Sussex Police.

All staff have been briefed this morning, and we will provide support to students where necessary. We constantly review our safeguarding arrangements, including lock down and as ever endeavour to ensure out students are as safe as possible.

Our thoughts are with the families of the two victims and we wish them a speedy recovery.
